Ask Question
Successful fundraising starts with the ability to present a project through the partner’s needs. During the training, I will demonstrate how to build a convincing conversation with an investor: how to formulate a message showing social and economic impact, support it with facts, and explain why investing in a community is an investment in sustainable development.
Kateryna Pokotylo, language mentor and expert in intercultural communications at the public initiative “Holka,” will explain how to effectively present a community in English, as well as how to start conversations with Italians, Spaniards, Belgians, and other foreigners:

Ask Question
We will talk about the art of
small talk and what definitely should not be said to foreigners. We will also discuss how to correct mistakes already made in communication with them. Confident and well-thought-out communication in English is a strategic tool for communities aiming to establish international cooperation, initiate partnerships, and attract investments for recovery and development. The event will be especially useful for community representatives with basic or minimal knowledge of English.
As a result of the meeting, participants will receive:
- a message box for conversations in English with potential investors;
- guidelines for presenting public community projects;
- a list of English language apps for quick translation.
The meeting will be held in two formats: offline (Kyiv, Yaroslaviv Val 33b, 3rd floor) and online. The event starts at 2:00 PM.
